Our Consultant Psychiatrists support all ages; children, adolescents and adults with clear, ongoing care.

Consultations

  • Online or in-person appointments from our central Edinburgh townhouse clinic.

    *Typical timings: new assessments 60–90 minutes; medication reviews ~30 minutes.

ADHD/ASD Assessment

  • Begin with an initial consultation to confirm next steps.
  • Multidisciplinary ADHD and/ or ASD assessment, tailored to you. Combined assesments available ages 6+

    *Delivered over several appointments and may include: clinical interview, developmental history, validated questionnaires, and collateral information (e.g. school/third-party reports).
  • For adolescents and children we offer QbTest; an advanced and industry-leading ADHD diagnosis and treatment management system.

    Common Questions

    How soon can I be seen?
    We offer online booking to ensure accessibility of our services with each consultant.
    When you enquire we will offer the next suitable appointment and can place you on a cancellation list if helpful.
    Can you work with my GP?
    Yes, with your consent we share letters with your GP. Shared care for medicines is at your GP’s discretion and cannot be guaranteed.
    Fees
    ‍For current fees and appointment availability, please see our online booking.

    Fees are set by each consultant and reflect the service provided, their training and experience, and the time required for consultation and necessary clinical correspondence.

    ‍Additional charges may apply for items requested and authorised outside a booked appointment: for example prescriptions, clinical letters, and reports/forms. Where applicable, we will confirm these costs with you in advance.
    ‍
    The fees our practitioners charge take into account the specialism they offer and their experience and training. Our fees are based on the consultation and correspondence time.
    Payment
    To secure your booking, payment is required at least 72 hours before your session. If payment isn’t received, your appointment may be released.

    Pre-payment by bank transfer is available.
    Cancellations
    ‍We operate a strict cancellation policy.

    ‍Cancellations within 72 hours of the appointment time, or non-attendance, are charged at 100% of the fee.
    Please cancel by emailing hello@edinburghpsychiatry.com or by calling 0131 220 2343. (Voicemail cannot be accepted as notice of cancellation.)

    If your sessions are funded by insurance and you cancel within 72 hours, the full fee may be charged to your insurer, or you may be liable for 50% outside your insurance policy.
